Hi everyone, and welcome to the about section of my blog. I would like to thank you for wanting to learn a little bit about me and how I became a Spanish teacher.
I grew up in the suburbs of Chicago for my first 18 years of life. I started learning Spanish in 5th grade and fell in love with the Language and knew that I wanted to do something with Spanish in my future.
I went to college at San Diego State University my freshman year, studying International Business with an emphasis in Spanish. I decided that Business was not for me. After my freshman year of college, I took a gap year to save money and to figure out my future. I was able to volunteer abroad in Peru for 6 weeks where I worked in a classroom with 15 teenagers. There, I discovered my true passion, teaching.
After my time in Peru, I transferred to Ohio University and am majoring in Spanish Education and Spanish Language and cannot wait to start teaching once I graduate.
